Door Operators
Did you know that 75% of elevator shutdowns are due to door equipment failures? Your door operator is the driving force to open and close your doors. An outdated door operator can cause unnecessary failures, scraping, your doors slamming open or closed, and overall poor performance. We specialize in installing state of the art door operators for any application. Our door operations include VVVF Drives to ensure smooth operation. We also install belt driven door operators to reduce moving parts and shutdowns.
3D Door Protection
Typical safety edges prevent a door from closing if there is something or someone blocking its path. However, for high traffic elevators, retail, ADA use, and other high use environments, this isn’t enough. We recommend the installation of 3D Door Protection. This unique solution has red and green indicators which operate on door movement to visually show opening and closing of the doors to reduce damage. It also features 3D detection in the landing zone for maximum passenger protection. 3D sensors are built into the edge to reduce false reopenings caused by cross traffic.
Door Lock Monitors
NYC Code requires a system to monitor and prevent automatic operation of passenger and freight elevators with faulty door contact circuits to be installed. All automatic and freight elevators will be required to monitor the door position, hall door lock, and gate switch operation. Many vendors have fallen behind in installing these devices, which can mean violations and fines for you and your property. Escalator Skirt Brushes
One of the most effective safety measures you can add to your escalator is Escalator Skirt Brushes. These help passengers maintain a distance from the steps to the sides of the escalator while in motion. LED UV-C
The most frequently touched surface in your facility is most like the escalator handrails. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, sterilization of escalator handrails is a major priority to your facility. Most cleaners that are used to disinfect are not meant for escalator handrails. These cleaners will absorb into the handrail causing interior and exterior cracks, shrinkage, and premature failures and may also cause many unnecessary shutdowns due to stalling. We offer Escalator Handrail UV Sterilization devices that are installed internally within the escalator to prevent possible passenger entrapments. These units emit UV-C wavelengths to effectively sanitize the handrail surface.
4G Emergency Phone
One of the most common and costly violations for your elevator is the emergency phone. A17.1 requires that all elevators have an emergency phone that is monitored 24/7. Unfortunately, since these phone lines are rarely used, they’re often disconnected or the line cut by mistake leaving the elevator without an emergency phone and your building with a violation. Some systems may have been designed for In-House Intercom use but are no longer monitored 24/7 which would also result in a violation.
